This Refund Policy explains how Willy.legal (“Willy,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles refunds, cancellations, and disputes. It applies to all purchases made through our website and is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. All sales are final
Because our product is a digital document generated and made available to you the moment your payment is processed, all purchases are final and non-refundable. By completing checkout, you acknowledge and agree that you are waiving any right to a refund except as expressly set out below or as required by applicable law.
We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused time on the optional Updates subscription. You can cancel a subscription at any time (see Section 3) and you will keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
2. Limited exceptions
We will consider a refund in the following limited circumstances:
- Duplicate charges. If you were charged twice for the same purchase due to a billing error on our end.
- Service-side technical failure. If, due to a verified outage or bug on our side, you were charged but unable to access your generated will or download your document for an extended period and our support team could not resolve the issue.
- Unauthorized purchase. If a purchase was made without your authorization (for example, by an unauthorized family member) and you contact us promptly.
- Required by law. Where a refund is required by the consumer-protection laws of your state or country.
To request a refund under any of these exceptions, email support@willy.legal within seven (7) days of the charge with your account email and a brief description of the issue. We aim to respond within two business days. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method and typically arrive within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
3. Cancelling your Updates subscription
The optional Updates subscription is billed in advance on a recurring basis. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or by emailing us. Cancellation stops future renewals; you will keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and no partial refund is issued for the remainder of that period.
4. Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank or card network. Almost every issue can be resolved by emailing support@willy.legal.
We treat chargebacks initiated without first contacting us as a material violation of our Terms of Service. Accounts associated with fraudulent chargebacks may be suspended or terminated, and we reserve the right to pursue all legal remedies available to recover the disputed amount and any associated fees.
5. Why this policy looks the way it does
Our product is a digital good delivered in full at the moment of purchase. You can preview your generated will before you pay, and the questionnaire is free to fill out and revise as many times as you like. Because you can fully evaluate the product before spending any money, we do not offer post-purchase refunds outside of the narrow exceptions above.
